What is BRANZ?
The British Aotearoa New Zealand (BRANZ) Paediatric Network connects paediatric trainees and clinicians across Britain and Aotearoa New Zealand to promote collaboration, shared learning, and professional development. Our mission is to strengthen paediatric training and research through reciprocal knowledge exchange, mutual mentorship, and the sharing of clinical experience between two nations united by common values and commitment to child health.
What do we do?
International Conferences
We bring together clinicians from the UK and New Zealand through international meetings and events. Our conferences provide a platform to share ideas, learn from different healthcare systems and build professional connections that extend beyond borders.
Research Collaboration
We connect clinicians with shared research interests and help turn good clinical questions into collaborative projects. Through regular research meetings, BRANZ provides a network for developing ideas, finding collaborators and supporting research across institutions and countries
Mentoring
We support doctors interested in a career in paediatrics through mentorship from those who have been through the process themselves. From career advice to applications and interviews, our mentoring has already supported doctors to successfully enter ST1 and ST3 paediatric training in the UK.
